Media Turns Against Biden for Claiming He Has Deported More Illegals Than Trump

Former President Donald Trump removed 1.5 million illegal immigrants during his presidency. It’s a figure some say Biden is allegedly poised to match. According to Biden himself, he has already passed that figure. How can he claim such a blatant lie is true?

It’s all in the magic of manipulation.

Biden continues manipulating the numbers to exaggerate his impact on everything from the job market to COVID-19 deaths and inflation. That doesn’t mean the numbers are accurate., but it also means they aren’t entirely false.

Former ICE chief of staff Jon Feere said a Reuters news story made it seem like the government was being tough on immigration by mixing up people who were deported with those who were just turned away at the border.

Feere explained that Reuters took creative liberties to make the claim. The news outlet used “removal” and “return” interchangeably. According to Feere, removal is when ICE arrests someone in the U.S. and sends them back to their home country. A return is when CBP catches someone near the border and sends them back to Mexico. Returns often involve the same people trying to cross the border multiple times. A return is not a deportation or a removal.

Feere said the numbers show that the administration isn’t doing a good job with deportations, especially of illegal immigrants who have committed crimes. He explains it’s clear that the Biden administration has dramatically reduced deportations and is protecting criminals.

Reuters is deliberately misleading its readers. Deportations have decreased a lot under the Biden administration, and illegal immigrants who have committed crimes are benefiting from this. The Reuters article seems to be trying to help President Biden, who isn’t doing well in polls about immigration. It starts by saying Biden has had a challenging time with record numbers of migrants crossing the border illegally, suggesting that this is beyond his control. It ignores that the increase in border crossings results from the Biden administration’s policies against strict enforcement.

It’s Obama 2.0. The Obama administration mixed up data on people being sent back and deported to make it look like they were tough on immigration. This was done to support an amnesty bill, and some media outlets spread this misinformation. It wasn’t until the amnesty bill failed that the Los Angeles Times admitted Obama had manipulated the numbers. Obama himself later said that the high deportation numbers were misleading. He acknowledged that the numbers included people caught at the border and sent back. These were counted as deportations even though they were only held briefly, sometimes less than a day or two.

The fact that border agents have had to send back a lot of illegal immigrants doesn’t mean the immigration policy is working. It shows how chaotic things have become at our borders because of the Biden administration’s policies. The Biden administration could have sent back higher numbers of people, but those numbers are actually low compared to the number of illegal immigrants allowed into the U.S. This data shows that the Biden administration has failed to protect America’s borders and laws.

For over three years, the Biden administration has claimed its policies target criminal aliens more than Trump’s policies did. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stated in 2021 that they aimed to focus on threats to national security, public safety, and border security. However, official data shows this hasn’t happened. Instead, criminal aliens have benefited from Biden’s policies. A comparison of ICE data from the first three years under Trump and Biden, published by the Center for Immigration Studies, shows alarming results.

Under the Biden administration, there has been a 57 percent decrease in the arrests of criminal aliens and a 67 percent decrease in their deportations.

The data also shows a 44 percent decrease in requests to hold criminal aliens. The Biden administration is choosing not to take thousands of criminal aliens into ICE custody, even though local police have arrested them for crimes.

The Biden administration claims that fewer illegal immigrants are committing crimes. He is right if you take the statistics at face value.

Arrests of aliens with assault records have decreased by 48 percent. Those with burglary records have decreased by 55 percent, and robbery records by 47 percent. Weapons offenses declined by 44 percent. Those with kidnapping records by 34 percent.

But It’s not that illegal immigrants are committing fewer crimes. It’s that they are not prosecuted for the crimes they commit.

The complicit media is pleased to cook the books to cover Biden. But those few outlets with a glimmer of journalistic integrity are rebelling and presenting the facts as they are.

And it’s worse than most Americans ever realized.
