Far-Left Democrat Reveals His Plans for 2028

Senator Cory Booker sparked fresh speculation about his political future after making comments that suggest he might be eyeing something far beyond his current seat.

During a conversation on MSNBC’s “The Beat,” the New Jersey Democrat spoke about what he’s hearing from voters at home.

“I was talking to just regular rank and file folks in New Jersey, and some of them Republicans who were saying, please do something to fight for us. Don’t let this happen. So the line for me is very simple, I’m not going to give my vote away unless Republicans come to the table and say, we’re going to do something to stop this nightmare that many Americans are just realizing, because they’re just starting to get their notices that they’re that their health insurance premiums are going to double or triple,” Booker said.

Host Ari Melber pushed him on the topic that’s been quietly circulating among Democrats.

“Are you running for president again?” Melber asked.

Booker kept his response focused on the near future.

“God, brother, I am running for reelection about a year from now. So please, New Jersey, I hope I’ve earned your reelection. I hope your vote to to get another six year, another term in the Senate,” Booker said.

But Melber didn’t stop there.

He pressed again, asking, “But after that?”

That’s when Booker gave the answer that grabbed attention across Washington.

“I’m not taking anything off the table,” he said. “Our country is in crisis. And I think all leaders should not think about a title or a position. They should look at this very moment and say, it’s time for everybody to step up and serve with devotion to our country, to fight right now when our country is facing such a threat.”

Booker has served in the Senate since 2013 and previously launched a failed White House bid in 2020. His new comments, though cautious, mark the first time he’s publicly hinted that his national ambitions may not be over.

Melber tried to summarize what the senator was suggesting.

“Well, you know, I don’t know if my legal training is up to these linguistic center, but not off the table is the road to on the table. So we’ll check in with you down that road,” he said.

Booker smiled but didn’t deny it. His remarks immediately reignited talk among Democrats about who may be preparing for a post-Biden political era.

For now, he’s focused on his Senate reelection next year. But with his latest interview, one thing is certain — Cory Booker wants to keep the door wide open.
