Musk and DOGE Might Be Done Before They Get Started

Trump re-entered the White House like a wrecking ball. He had a plan, and he had his team, and he sure as hell wasn’t about to listen to anyone from the Swamp about what was and wasn’t a good idea.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is a new entity, and Trump has given Elon Musk carte blanche to do what he needs to in order to cut government spending. On paper, the DOGE sounds like a great idea.

In reality, however, there are too many cuts being made too quickly. It’s leading to a lot of fear in Washington DC as various leaders wonder if they’re next.

It also leads to quite a bit of finger-pointing, especially after there was a mid-air collision that resulted in 67 deaths. Musk is getting countless fingers pointed at him because the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was leaderless.

Just days before, Musk suggested that FAA leader, Mike Whitaker, get fired, which Trump took care of. So, when the crash happened between the plane and helicopter, there was no one who could respond to how it happened, why it happened, or how it would be prevented moving forward.

I know, wait just a second. How could Musk get blamed, just because he fired the head of the FAA? It’s not as if the head of the FAA would have been in the control tower.

However, there are enough Democrats who are digging to find a reason to ditch Musk and the DOGE quickly. It’s a “me or you” kind of situation, and the rats of the swamp will happily drown Musk if it means that they get to live to see another day.

The biggest argument against Musk right now is that the FAA firing was one of vengeance. Apparently, Whitaker had investigated Starlink at one point. So, this was personal for Musk.

Maybe. Or maybe it was just a coincidence. Maybe Starlink deserved to get investigated. And maybe Whitaker deserved to get fired.

What happened mid-air is an absolute tragedy, but does that mean that it’s proof of how DOGE doesn’t work? I think it’s too early to tell. Perhaps DOGE just needs to slow down a bit so that the swamp rats at least have a chance to adapt.

Hannity will convince you that the firing needed to be done because the FAA had been overwhelmed by DEI hires. Check it out for yourself:
