The View Melts Down Over Biden Health Bombshell

The women of “The View” were visibly rattled Tuesday as new revelations about former President Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline dominated headlines. Their frustration wasn’t directed at the Biden team’s deception—it was aimed squarely at those daring to report the truth.

The source of their outrage? A new book by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson, titled Original Sin, which details the White House’s secretive effort to conceal Biden’s failing condition throughout his reelection campaign. Instead of grappling with the serious implications, the panelists dismissed the revelations as a distraction.

“Why is this important to know now?” Whoopi Goldberg asked, appearing more upset by the timing than by the cover-up itself.

Joy Behar quickly pivoted to blaming President Trump, accusing him of “cutting Medicaid” and “ending birthright citizenship”—claims that have been widely refuted. She also falsely claimed Trump invented Biden’s stage 9 cancer diagnosis, even though the aggressive cancer has now been confirmed and dates back to Biden’s presidency.

But it was Alyssa Farah Griffin who exposed the real problem with the left’s selective outrage over media coverage.

“When journalists criticize Republicans, they’re heroes,” she said. “But when they uncover something damaging about Democrats, suddenly it’s lies and fiction.”

She wasn’t wrong. Just hours after the book’s details emerged, Tapper and Thompson faced backlash from left-leaning commentators who had once praised them. Joy Behar mocked them for “hawking their book” on CNN, while Goldberg tried to dismiss the concerns by claiming Biden simply “misspeaks because of his age.”

But the book paints a much darker picture. According to Tapper and Thompson, Biden’s aides were so concerned about his condition that they staged a fake, never-aired town hall and edited videos in slow motion to conceal his declining mobility. His team even recruited director Steven Spielberg to help improve his public appearances.

Perhaps most damning: Biden reportedly failed to recognize actor George Clooney—a longtime ally—at a fundraiser in June 2024. Clooney was said to be “shaken to the core” by Biden’s confusion and frail appearance. Other anecdotes described Biden forgetting key staff members’ names, speaking with a raspy voice, and appearing disoriented during major events.

Goldberg asked why nobody spoke out at the time. The answer? Many Democrats—including Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries—knew the truth but kept quiet, opting to “look forward” instead of facing the fallout. That silence helped drag a severely compromised man through another election cycle, despite mounting evidence of cognitive and physical decline.

After Biden’s disastrous June 2024 debate performance, where he appeared confused and frail, Democrats finally began calling for him to exit the race. By then, the damage was done.

Now that Biden is no longer in office and battling an aggressive, metastasized cancer, legacy media outlets are racing to reframe the narrative. But Americans remember being told—repeatedly—that any suggestion of decline was a “conspiracy theory.”

It wasn’t.

While “The View” hosts fume over timing and blame Trump, real questions remain: Who knew what, and when? Why did party leaders and media figures stay silent as Biden deteriorated?

And perhaps most importantly—if the press won’t hold Democrats accountable, who will?
