The Hard Truth: BLM is a Symbol of Hate
Black Lives Matter. It’s a movement, a phrase, and what’s tearing the country apart. It’s hard not to turn on the radio, TV, or go online without hearing about what BLM protesters have done most recently.
They’ve held up signs, blocked traffic, murdered innocent people, destroyed public property, and defaced national monuments.
BLM loves themselves. They love the attention. But they hate everything else.
The slogan was recently painted in front of the Trump Tower in New York City. Out of anger, Trump called it a “symbol of hate.” As a result, he’s catching a lot of slack from it.
However, isn’t it? Isn’t the Black Lives Matter slogan a symbol of hate? At no point do they talk about how any other lives but black lives matter? They have destroyed the statues of countless white historic people, including Abraham Lincoln – the very man who ended slavery.
And, they don’t even think that all Black Lives Matter. How many black lives have been terminated in Chicago without the protesters even blinking?
Trump said what he said and he’s not apologizing. Of course, the NYC police reform groups are quick to condemn him. But, they’re part of the problem. They’re not looking to fix anything. If they were, they wouldn’t be tearing apart and terrorizing the city.
It was actually Mayor Bill De Blasio’s decision to paint Black Lives Matter on the street outside of Trump Tower. Trump criticized the mayor and the decision to cut the NYPD budgets with a comment on Twitter that his decisions are “denigrating this luxury Avenue.”
What De Blasio did was a complete sign of disrespect. He could have painted that slogan anywhere. It was by choice that he chose to do it in front of real estate owned by the president.
Trump’s comments included, “This will further antagonize New York’s Finest, who LOVE New York & vividly remember the horrible BLM chant, ‘Pigs In A Blanket, Fry ‘Em Like Bacon,’ Trump wrote.
“Maybe our GREAT Police, who have been neutralized and scorned by a mayor who hates & disrespects them, won’t let this symbol of hate be affixed to New York’s greatest street. Spend this money fighting crime instead!”
Trump has spent a lot of money in NYC long before becoming president. He has called it home. He loves New York, and he knows how many others of affluence love New York. For the mayor to do something so disrespectful shows that he has been bullied for far too long.
De Blasio has said that Trump has never shown respect for “those three words.” Why should he?
Black Lives Matter is three words that tear the country apart. It identifies racism in its effort to eliminate racism. It’s why Pence has unapologetically said that all lives matter. That means black, white, Latina, Asian, and everything in between. To call out one particular race is divisive – and it’s why it’s a symbol of hate.
Trump said what others have been thinking. He’s only catching heat from it from the Democrats.
However, he’s not even the only one who is vocal about it. There are many black leaders across the country who do not support Black Lives Matter. They, too, believe that it does not help with the cry for equality.
Charles Love, the Assistant Executive Director of SEE (Seeking Educational Excellence) has said, “if you want to make a difference in the black community, you have many good choices. Black Lives Matter is not one of them.”
De Blasio condemns Trump because De Blasio allows himself to be bullied by the protesters who have been chanting about Black Lives Matter for far too long. Trump has only spoken the truth – and there are countless people who back him on that.
Those who believe BLM will make the country whole again are sadly mistaken – and it’s going to take more than a sign in front of Trump Tower for Trump or anyone else to change their mind.
